Contacts
The people at each account, by name and email, with their job title and persona. Meeting transcripts match speakers and attendees to them.
Contacts are the people you work with at each account: the buyer, the admin who files the tickets, the engineer on the weekly call. An account says which company asked; a contact says who.
Contacts are in early access: an admin turns them on for the workspace.
Where they show
- Contacts page: everyone, across accounts, with their email, account, persona and job title. Search finds a person by name, email or title; the star marks each account's primary contact.
- An account: the Contacts tab (or section) lists the people at the account. Add someone with a name, email and job title and press Enter. The first person added becomes the primary contact; the star moves that role to someone else.
- A contact: name, job title and email at the top, notes as the body, and the account, persona and primary switch at the side. The Meetings tab lists the meetings they were matched in.
- A meeting: each speaker is shown as the contact they are, with their job title and account.
The primary contact
Each account has at most one primary contact. The account's Primary contact and Primary contact email (in the API, imports and exports, and integrations) always name that person: changing either on the account makes the person with that email the primary contact, adding them when they are not there yet, and starring someone else changes both.
Accounts that had a primary contact before contacts existed got that person as a contact.
How meetings find people
When a transcript is imported, each attendee and speaker is matched in this order:
- A team member, by email or by a name only one teammate has.
- A contact, by email.
- An account, by an address one account owns, or a domain only one account uses.
- A contact, by a name only one person at the meeting's accounts has. A speaker the transcript names without an address is matched this way, never against every contact in the workspace.
A meeting imported before its people were added can be matched again: open it, go to Participants and select Match people again.
Importing and exporting
The workspace spreadsheet has a Contacts sheet: Name, Email, Job Title, Account, Persona, Primary and Notes. A row for someone already at the account (the same email, or the same name with no email) updates that person instead of adding them twice.
