Terms of Service

The agreement between you and ProductOS covering accounts, acceptable use, your content, AI features, billing, liability and termination.

Last updated 29 September 2026

Effective date: 29 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Sarim Khawaja ("ProductOS", "we", "us") for your use of productos.ca and the ProductOS applications, integrations and APIs (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and "you" means that organisation.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of this agreement.

Your account

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. Give us accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure — enable multi-factor authentication if you can, and tell us promptly at support@productos.ca if you suspect unauthorised access.

Workspaces and roles

The Service is organised into workspaces. Whoever creates a workspace controls it and can invite others, set their roles, change what they can see and do, and remove them. If you join a workspace created by your employer or another organisation, that organisation administers it and can access, modify and delete the content in it, including content you contribute.

Your content

You keep all rights in the content you put into the Service. You grant us a licence to host, store, copy, transmit, display and process it, and to make the modifications technically necessary to operate the Service — nothing more. That licence exists so that we can run the Service for you, and it ends when you delete the content or close your workspace, subject to the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for your content: for having the rights to it, and for having a lawful basis to store any personal information about other people that it contains.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to:

  • break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or violate anyone's privacy;
  • upload malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, to another workspace, or to any system connected to it;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written permission, or defeat its rate limits, authentication or access controls;
  • send spam, or use the feedback widget or Feedback API to send unsolicited messages;
  • resell or provide the Service to third parties except as part of your own product team's ordinary use;
  • interfere with the Service's operation or place an unreasonable load on it.

We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach, and will give you notice where we reasonably can.

AI features

The Service includes features powered by third-party AI models. You direct when those run and what content they see, as described in the Privacy Policy.

AI output can be wrong, incomplete or misleading. It is a draft for you to check, not advice and not a decision. You remain responsible for reviewing anything the Service generates before relying on it or acting on it.

Most AI features require your own API key from the relevant provider. You are responsible for that key, for the costs it incurs, and for complying with that provider's terms. We are not responsible for a provider's availability, pricing, output or acts.

Integrations

You may connect third-party services such as GitHub, Linear, Slack or Intercom. Doing so authorises data to move between ProductOS and that service. Those services are not ours; your use of them is governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for them or for what they do with data you direct to them. Disconnect an integration at any time in Settings → Integrations.

Fees

ProductOS publishes its plans at productos.ca/pricing. Checkout is not live yet: every workspace runs free of charge today, whatever plan it is on, and no payment method is collected.

When checkout ships we will give you notice before any charge applies to you, and set out the price, billing period and cancellation terms then. No charge will apply to a period before that notice. Published prices may change before checkout ships; the price that binds you is the one shown when you subscribe.

Once fees apply they are payable in advance and non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Plan limits, including how many members a plan allows, are described on the pricing page and may change with notice.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change, add or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces core functionality you are relying on, we will give you reasonable notice.

We may need to perform maintenance, sometimes urgently. We will minimise disruption where we can.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your workspace at any time through Settings → Danger zone, or ask us to close your account.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if your use creates a legal or security risk, or if we discontinue the Service — with reasonable notice except where a breach or risk requires us to act immediately.

Export your content before you leave. After termination we delete workspace content as described in the Privacy Policy.

Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that AI output will be accurate.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue or lost or corrupted data, even if advised of the possibility.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service and these terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD 100).

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your content, your use of the Service in breach of these terms, or your violation of law or of anyone's rights, together with reasonable legal costs.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes — except that either party may seek injunctive relief wherever appropriate. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protections of the mandatory law where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we make a material change we will revise the effective date above and give notice in the application before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and close your account.

General

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the Service. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
