# Vision & Mission

> The top-level strategy statement that grounds every AI prompt and every roadmap decision.

The Vision & Mission page is where you write the workspace's long-term north star. Short, deliberate prose, and it's used as **grounding context for every AI feature** in the product.

## What you'll see

Three editable fields:

- **Vision**: long-form plain text, no character cap
- **Mission**: long-form plain text
- **Pillars**: JSON array of `title` + `description` pairs (rendered as editable cards in the UI)
- **Strategy snapshot** strip above them: whether vision and mission are set, and the pillar count

## Common actions

- Edit in place; changes autosave about 1.5 seconds after you stop typing, or click **Save**
- **Add Pillar** / remove a pillar from its card
- **ProductSense** in the toolbar: AI drafts or sharpens the vision and mission text

## Why it matters

Every AI prompt in ProductOS pulls the workspace's vision, mission, and pillars into context as grounding, through the workspace knowledge block (see the [Knowledge](https://productos.ca/documentation/pages/tools/knowledge) page). A vague vision → vague AI output.

## Versioning

Each save overwrites the previous text; there is no version history.
